JCI/JCIN Briefs

For some fun in the sun for a good cause, join fellow JCI members, guests and partners at the JCI Regatta from September 3 to 7.

All Aboard!
Starting their journey in the clear blue waters of Biograd, Croatia, 10 international teams and their boats will set sail in support of JCI Nothing But Nets. Each sailing day ends with a social outing comprised of dinner and drinks ashore at a unique location on one of the many islands along the route. The event is all-inclusive, so the registration fee includes your place on a yacht, the champagne welcome night, drinks and food during the dinners, parties and while on board.

Every 45 seconds a child in Africa dies from malaria. With a donation of just $10 USD, an insecticide-treated mosquito net is sent to Africa to protect a family from this deadly disease. JCI works closely with the UN Foundation to raise money for this campaign to purchase nets, distribute them to families in need, educate them on the proper use of the net and increase malaria awareness and prevention. Twenty percent of every participant fee for the JCI Regatta will directly benefit JCI Nothing But Nets. Cordaid, an international development organization based in The Netherlands, will double all of the revenue from this event to ensure that as many lives are saved as possible across Africa.

To register for the JCI Regatta, please complete the online registration form or send it by email to http://www.blogger.com/info@jci-regatta.com.
